today in helmet land

November 5, 2009 · 3 Comments

Today was a very special day in helmet land.  I took a practice reading test for the GED.  I scored very well.  G-Love told me that he would be surprised if I was in this class after Christmas.  He thinks I am very smart.  He also asked me if I would come back in after I moved on to help the other not so smart helmet kids progress a bit faster.  Of course I said anything for a fellow helmet.

It is a little sad to move on, but this helmet has to go to bigger and better things.  (mostly better)  So, if all goes according to plan I will be out of helmet land by mid December.  I bet you can’t wait to see my happy helmet dance.

OH MY GOD< I ALMOST FORGOT.  I also found out that they have a real graduation for helmets in June.  WHo wants to come?  tickets are limited.

G-Love is learning what your fans already know – there’s no shortage of smarts under that helmet of yours! Good for you for being willing to help mentor the helmets after you take your test. Nice to give some encouragement and support to others following behind.

As for June tickets: please save me one! And tell us as soon as you find out the date!

Wow! Good job Helmet!! You helmet guys sure work fast. Put me down for a ticket.
Is there a tradition of passing your helmet down to an incoming helmet class member? Do you wear the helmet to graduation? Is there a ritual taking off of the helmet at graduation? Inquiring minds want to know…

Passing down of the helmet is very confidential. I don’t think it can be viewed by the general public. I will check on that for you. Yes we do wear our helmets to graduation. We have special attachments for that special day. We do take our helmets off during graduation. We just don’t throw them. THey are very heavy you know. Last year someone had to go to teh hospital because a helmet guy thought he could throw it without hurting anyone, didn’t work out that well.
